Pristine walls with classic mouldings and brass-stemmed wall sconces draw your eyes up to the lofty ceiling above. On the wall by a long, upholstered banquette in muted sage is a gallery of frames showcasing bold sketches and colourful modern paintings that add an exuberance, a particular joie de vivre, to the refined European interiors.
You and your date sit at one of the immaculately clothed tables flanked by wooden dining chairs in cream-coloured upholstery and start perhaps with pre-dinner drinks. Snails with garlic butter and parsley (Escargots de Bourgogne) pair so well with the LPM Restaurant & Barsignature Tomatini, a cocktail of muddled ripe Campari tomatoes and vodka with balsamic vinegar, simple syrup, salt, and pepper.
The evening deepens. Risotto with seasonal mushrooms and parmesan (Risotto Aux Champignons Et Crème Fraîche) and a whole sea bream baked with provençal herbs and lemon (Daurade Entière au Citron) follow a course of endive salad with gorgonzola and caramelized walnuts (Salade d’Endives au Gorgonzola) and warm prawns with olive oil and lemon juice (Crevettes Tièdes à l'Huile d'Olive).
You order a glass of the 2023 Sancerre, Domaine Pascal Jolivet from Val de Loire, the 2021 Chassagne-Montrachet, Michel Niellon from Bourgogne or some other vin blanc from the LPM Miami menu. In between bites and sips, you and your date talk about your day, your dreams, and maybe even future plans.
Sounds divine, doesn’t it? It’s just the way a romantic dinner in Miami should feel like at nice restaurants for an anniversary dinner.
